About Antonio Gerace

Antonio Gerace (1987) earned a PhD in Religious Studies (KU Leuven) and is a postdoctoral fellow (University of Bologna). In Leuven, he studied the development of biblical studies in the early modern Low Countries. Between 2018 and 2023 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the FSciRe (Bologna), where he focused on the clergy’s education before the Council of Trent. Gerace has published two monographs: Biblical Scholarship in Leuven in the Golden Sixteenth Century (2019) and Un manuale per il clero (2024).
