About Helen Hattab

Helen Hattab is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Houston. She works on 16th and 17th century philosophy with a focus on theories of substance, causation, scientific demonstration and laws of nature. She has published on Basso, Descartes, Gorlaeus, Hobbes, Jesuit philosophers, Spinoza and Zabarella. She serves as Associate Editor of SHPS series A and is past President of HOPOS.
