About Leen Spruit
Leen Spruit, who holds two master’s diplomas (in theology and philosophy), obtained his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Amsterdam. He lives in Italy.
Although he is lecturer in Dutch language and literature at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome, his scholarly work addresses the history of philosophy and science and the interaction of these disciplines with theology and organized religion. It is because of his outstanding contributions to the understanding of these fields that Leen Spruit has been appointed “Associate Researcher” at the Center for the History of Philosophy and Science at Nijmegen. He contributes to the Center’s intellectual life through regular lectures as well as through his participation in the Faculty’s research program.
