About Thierry Meynard

Thierry Meynard, S.J., is professor of philosophy at Sun Yat-Sen University. He studies the exchange of Chinese and Western thoughts, Western classical philosophy, and contemporary Neo-Confucianism. In 2003, he got a Ph.D. in Chinese Philosophy from Peking University with his thesis "Liang Shu's Religious View". From 2001-2003 he is Research Director of the Beijing Language and Culture Center. In 2012-2014, he served as the director of The Beijing Center for Chinese Studies and continues to be responsible for the research of the Center.
